I ordered a pizza. The waitress asked, "How many pieces do you want your pie cut?" I responded, "Four. I don't think I could eat eight."

A few months ago while driving down Chippewa Street here in St. Louis (on our way to Ted Drewes of course) we spotted a Happy Joe's Pizza. Nick was ecstatic because Happy Joe's was a part of his Iowa childhood, especially their taco pizza.
He never quit suggesting anytime the dinner topic came up, "let's go to Happy Joe's!"
So finally last night, we did! I swear it was like having a seven year old in the car. "Yay! Happy Joe's!"
This location has been open for more than 30 years and the pictures that covered the wall were so fun to look at. I loved the little TVs you could watch for 50 cents.
Finally - taco pizza!

that pizza looks delish!
Wow, I've never heard of Happy Joe's and I think of myself as a pizza connoisseur. We'll have to check it out.
That's an amazing looking pizza. There is a pizza place at home that I have to visit every time I go home; much like your husband's feelings about Happy Joe's.
seriously? pizza AND ice cream? I'm in heaven!
One of the happiest memories of my childhood was my 5th birthday party at Happy Joes. I have pixtures on my facebook of it. I think that's the last time I've been there!
Sounds yummy!!! Thanks for the recommendation!
