If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone. A man should keep his friendships in constant repair.
Samuel Johnson

Anytime you move to a new city it can always be hard to make new friends. I think I've done pretty well getting out there with both Tri Delta alumna group and joining Junior League. Still while I now have many acquaintances, I just didn't have any close friends that I could just call for a movie or to carpool to an event.

But now I have Sarah and I'm so thankful! We met through Tri Delta and joined Junior League together and it's nice to have a partner in crime. Her and her new beau are coming over for dinner tonight. We're grilling steaks and just enjoying each other's company.

So on this rainy Saturday, here's to new friends in our new city (and a yummy dinner too!).

That's wonderful! It can be hard sometimes, I know. I hope the dinner went well! :)
