The quickest way to know a woman is to go shopping with her.

Ever since moving to St. Louis and living in a neighborhood with a lot of history, locals and wonderful traditions I have really understood the importance of buying locally.
The 350 Project is an initiative to support local businesses has some great resources and listings.
Just to share, some of my favorite local stores I've visiting during my short time in St. Louis include:
O.K. Hatchery Feed and Garden Store
So take the time and your money to frequent your local stores. It will not only support your local economy but walking into a great local business with free handmade soap samples, a store cat on the counter or Vera Bradley on sale is far more fun than shopping online!

That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing. Have fun with Nick's birthday party this weekend!
I haven't found very many local stores since I've moved, but I love the local stores where I grew up!
I love the Cat's Meow!!! And Down by the Station is super cute as well!
Great post...you know how I feel about supporting local businesses!
I always enjoy Down by the Station!
I love all those stores. Except the last one. I know a better place ;)
I especially love the Bug Store. I get so many cute things for my garden there.
