I really do try to give things to Bella that will entertain her during the day.


Okay, I know that you don't really entertain a cat. I know.


Ahem, let me try again...


I like to give things to Bella that I pretend will entertain her but really just make me a feel a little bit better for leaving her all day.

So I have a basket full of little tinkle balls, fuzzy things with bells, little circles with ribbon and fake mice. She has a "cat dancer" wand and plenty of other odds and ends stewn around the place to step on in the middle of the night.


Now, the entire time I have been home this evening all she has been doing is running up and down the hall chasing, attacking and tossing something around.


I peaked my head around the corner and she has been playing all this time with a binder clip. Um, a BINDER CLIP.


Good Lord, I wish I could be as easily amused.
