The 8th annual Celebration of Reading event will be hosted by Jeb and Columba Bush, who will be joined by former President George H.W. and Mrs. Barbara Bush. Gifts to the Celebration of Reading allow parents and their young children to attend literacy classes free-of-charge. Over 135 family literacy programs in Florida have been started or expanded by the donations from Celebration of Reading.

Each year the Celebration of Reading is fortunate to draw on well-known authors who join the event. This year's authors include Sharon Robinson, Greg Mortenson and Mary Matalin.
