Get your facts first, and then you can distort
'em as much as you please.
Mark Twain

Join me in one large eye roll at the media FREAKING OUT about H1N1 (aka Swine Flu).

This is getting ridiculous. What better way to make sure people are informed then by causing mass hysteria!

The News-Press website in Fort Myers where I used to live - I especially like the little pig silhouette with an arrow pointing to the people on the header. Because if you eat pork, you get Swine Flu right? Please make it stop.

At this point, the CDC has much better information. As in, wash your hands and if you're sick please stay home.

Don't even get me started on the media. I think they blow everything way out of proportion and scare people unneedlessly. I agree, the CDC is a better source of info.

This stuff cracks me up. When we left St. Louis Thursday, 4 people on the plane were wearing masks. Guess they didn't get the memo that those don't do much for protection!

*Rolling eyes with you* This is way out of hand! Matt said he was listening to talk radio (thank goodness not when I'm in the car) and that the death rate from just the regular flu is WAY higher than this swine flu thing!!!

My brother writes for major media in Atlanta and even he gets so so sick of what they have to put out there. I always ask him first "Is this hyped or do I have to worry?"

Same response - wash your hands a lot etc.

People are nuts! This weekend we noticed every Mexican restaurant in our area was dead. This is very unusual. Do people think that they are flying to Mexico to the get the food every day?
