The highest happiness on earth is marriage.
William Lyon Phelps

This past weekend, my mom and I met up in Williamsburg, Virginia for the marriage of her oldest friend's daughter. It was a lovely wedding with a lot of fun stuff to see in Williamsburg and plenty of planned activities.

In front of our hotel, the Williamsburg Lodge

My new husband.

Horse and carriage on the street.

One of the beautiful gardens

Outside the Williamsburg Inn before the bridal tea.

With the bride-to-be and her mother.

I love Nicholas (also the name of our hotel wing)!

Fife and drum

New military "recruits"

Dinner at the King's Arms

The morning of the wedding I enjoyed the pool with a Mallard.

My one and only photo from the beautiful wedding at the Jamestown Memorial Church
(my camera battery died!).

At the Sunday brunch before we left.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Williamsburg! That is my college town (did you see the gorgeous campus of William & Mary?) and only 45 min. from where I live! It's beautiful and historical and a great place to visit.
