Always keep that happy attitude.
Pretend that you are holding a beautiful fragrant bouquet.

Earl Nightengale

Today I'm participating in Kelly's Korner with "Show Us Your Life." This week's topic is wedding party and flowers.

First the wedding party. With Nick living 2,000 miles away at the time leading up to our wedding, we knew we wanted to keep things as a simple as possible. So we each selected one wedding party member, a matron of honor (or my "best woman" as she preferred!) and a best man. This really did make things so much easier with attire, travel and other details.

My best woman, Casey, is my oldest friend. I was the maid of honor in her wedding. Casey's dress is from Aria. I selected the color and fabric and she picked out the style of dress. She is like this.big.around so she looks fabulous in anything!

Fun fact: if you look in the album section of Aria's website featuring real brides who used Aria dresses we're on page 1, ninth row, first on the left.

With Casey during photos before the wedding at my childhood home

Nick's best man was his childhood friend, Chad, who came from Iowa with his wife to celebrate with us. All the men wore the exact same classic tuxedo from Men's Wearhouse. The only difference was Nick's boutonniere was a little different than the rest (and should have been wrapped in black, instead of cream as below. Oh well, it's the little things the bride notices!).

Me and Nick with Casey and Chad, our wedding party!

You can see the wedding flowers in the photos above and a close up of my bouquet below. I loved my flowers and my florist. It was so easy to express what I was going for and they really nailed the look I wanted. I love the textured look that the variety of flowers, colors and sizes created.

Anyway. . .looks like you had a gorgeous wedding. :)

I love your bouquet! We decided to go with a very classic tux from Men's Warehouse too. I think its best to go traditional in that department or you'll cringe 10 years from now looking back!
