Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts.

We had a fun weekend with my mom in town. Lots of volunteer stuff, shopping, errands and yummy dinners out. Last night we headed to Ted Drewes because even though it's really cold, frozen custard still tastes delish!

My poor mom was so cold she had her cute jacket hood up and I couldn't get Nick to stay still for a picture!

She is headed back to Florida today (after visiting me at my office with Nick and then out to lunch). I will miss having her here but we had fun while it lasted!

I'd also like to note that it is SNOWING right now. In April. On the Cardinal's opening day. Ridiculous!

EEEEEK! I LOVE Ted Drewes! (It's less than a mile from my house, too!)

Sounds like you had an excellent weekend!

Can you believe the SNOW?! On Opening Day?! CRAZY!

I love Ted Drewes too! Your mom was probably glad to be in Florida to thaw out!

I just saw your post on GRITS blog and wanted to say hello! I'm a SC transplant living in Columbia (MO) now so the St. Louis part caught my eye!

I think a blogger tour stop in St. Louis is a must! :-)
